The Mendota Museum and Historical Society would like you to join them Saturday June 17th from 10am to 4pm for their Railroad Crossing & Country Fair Day. Please join them at the Union Depot and Breaking Prairie Museums for: free street train rides for the kids courtesy of Norman Strow, tours of the newly acquired 1937 Illinois Central mail storage car, Breaking Prairie Barn and Chapel, and Union Depot Museums, Demonstrations of Traditional Country Crafts, Vintage Tractor Display, Gandy Dancer rides, NIBA Bluegrass music, Vintage clothing display, Operation Life Saver, Locomotive Air Horn exhibit, Magician and special appearance by the “Old West Register” Cowboys. They will be serving lunch from 11am – 2pm and there will be a Farmers market from 8am til noon.
