The very popular Crafters Market Place and Flea Market, will again be featured at Mendota’s Annual Sweet Corn Festival. The dates have been set for August 11th & 12th, 2018.
Artists, craftsmen and flea market dealers from around the Midwest are expected to fill the 200 spaces at this year’s event. Reserved spaces for the show are available and applications are being accepted.

Spaces are approximately 10′ by 10′ and are $70.00 for the weekend. Sending in your application and check will reserve your space. The hours will be from 9:00 A.M to 5:30 P.M. on Saturday, and 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Sunday. There are also one day spaces available for Saturday only at $35 per space.
The event will be held in Veterans’ Park on Rt. 34 and in the Mendota Elks Club Parking Lot on Indiana Avenue as well as on the adjacent Jefferson Street. The two show areas are about 1/2 block apart and are in downtown Mendota, right in the heart of all the Sweet Corn Festival activities.
Dealers are asked to provide their own props for display, and no food will be served in the craft and flea market areas.
The event is open to the public at no charge.
The Mendota Chamber also has Street Booth Space for the 3.5 days of the Fest for food, merchandise, commercial vendors, etc. These spaces are on the midways, beginning at $200 for a 10 foot frontage for the 3.5 days.
This year marks the 71st Annual Sweet Corn Festival held in Mendota, IL. The midways will open Thursday, August 9th at 6:00 P.M. and the festival will continue through Sunday evening August 12th. The Sweet Corn Festival is one of the largest harvest festivals in the State and attracts over 55,000 people. It climaxes on Sunday with the serving of over 50 tons of FREE hot buttered Del Monte Sweet Corn.
