The Lee County Farm Service Agency in Amboy would like to remind farmers the deadline for crop acreage certification and reporting for 2017 crops and 2018 fall-seed crops are fast approaching. Please contact the office and make arrangements or an appointment to file your acreage report.
The deadline to report spring-seeded crops is July 17th. Corn, Grain Sorghum, Green Peas, Hybrid Corn Seed, Spring Oats, Popcorn, Processing Beans, Pumpkins, Soybeans, Sweet Corn, and all other spring seeded crops.
The acreage reporting deadline for the fall-seeded 2018 (crop year) crops is November 1st for Perennial Forage and Hay, Fall Wheat, Fall Barley and all other Fall-seeded small grains.
After deadline passes there will be a late filing fee of $46 in order to file a crop report. Acreage reports may be revised at any time without a late fee as long as the revision can be filed before the final date. After that date, a fee of $46 will be assessed and require a filed visit to confirm changes.
The Le County FSA Office has established the following hours for producers to come in and file an acreage report. Hours are 9am to 4pm Monday thru Friday and is located at 319 South Mason Avenue in Amboy, Illinois.
