OTTAWA – An arctic blast of cold temperatures will follow a quick moving storm that will move across North Central Illinois on Thursday. Some areas could receive up to 5″ of snow, but the gusty winds and plummeting temperatures could lead to white out conditions into the overnight hours and Friday. Matt Friedlein of the National Weather Service said that blowing snow in the country is a good bet. A winter weather advisory continues until noon on Friday.
