OTTAWA – More than double the number of ballots that were cast absentee in 2018 have already been turned in to officials in LaSalle County. According to the County Clerk, over 18,400 residents have requested mail in or absentee ballots, with 13,442 being returned already this week. You have until Thursday to return your application for a mail in ballot to the Clerk’s office in Ottawa. Residents can vote early at the LaSalle County Clerk’s Office 8 AM – 7 PM Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 12 PM Saturday, 10 AM – 4 PM Sunday, and 8 AM to 4:30 PM Monday, the day before election day.
