STREATOR – The Streator Area United Way is nearing their fundraising pledge goal for the year. Ahead of their November 5th dinner, it was announced this week that they were over 88% of the way to meeting their nearly $240,000 goal. The bulk of the funds pledged have come from area industries, who have promised to contribute over $110,000 to the organization.The Streator Area United Way has been a part of the community since 1949.
